Nearly 50 people have been killed after a truck collided with a small car on the west highway of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The accident occurred near the town of Kisantu, central Kinshasa and the port of Matadi.
100 people received severe injuries of fire according to Atou Matabuana, governor of the Congo Central. "Fire fired rapidly and consumed nearby homes," said the United Nations radio station Okapi.
Roadways between the country have been relocated for many years since the war.
In 2012, 220 people were killed when an oil trailer turned around and consumed several villages.
One of those testified told AFP that he saw 53 million. A doctor at a hospital who cured injuries said there had been no time to treat the victims. 'We tried to help but there are those who die,' Dr Dr resor said.
The Kisantu town is located 120 miles [120 km] south of Kinshasa.
